Purple on the outside, creamy at heart and impossible to overlook.
Cabra en Vino arrives dressed in deep purple, but its real charm is revealed at the first cut. Beneath the wine-coated rind lies a creamy goat’s cheese with a smooth, gentle flavour and just enough character to keep every bite interesting.
The contrast is striking: dark wine tones surrounding a pale interior, followed by the meeting of mellow goat’s milk and the fruity depth of red wine. Add grapes, toasted walnuts or quince, pour a glass of red, and let the cheese do the rest.
Cabra en Vino brings colour, flavour and a touch of Spanish drama to the table. Its intense purple rind gives way to a creamy interior with a medium-mild character, allowing the goat’s milk to remain elegant while the red wine adds a deeper, fruitier dimension.
Fresh grapes echo the wine notes, while pear and apple bring a crisp counterpoint. Toasted walnuts, almonds and quince add warmth and sweetness, and thin slices of cured ham create a savoury contrast that lets both cheese and wine show their character.
Cut into the cheese and its pale centre immediately stands out against the dark rind. Serve it in generous wedges with fruit and nuts, add it to a colourful cheese selection or pair it with roasted peppers and rustic bread.
A fruity red wine is the natural companion, although dry cider and full-bodied white wines also work beautifully with its creamy texture and gentle intensity.
Pasteurised goat’s MILK, salt, stabiliser (calcium chloride), rennet, preservative (lysozyme derived from EGG) and lactic cultures.
