Fifteen tender artichoke hearts slowly confited in mild olive oil, ready to open into beautiful flowers. Serve them grilled, filled or as an impressive centrepiece for tapas, starters and elegant vegetable dishes.
These large artichoke hearts are gently confited for two and a half hours in mild olive oil. The slow preparation preserves their delicate sweetness, natural colour and firm yet tender texture without troublesome fibres.
Carefully spread the leaves and grill the artichokes until golden to create an impressive flower presentation. Pair them with truffle sauce, boletus, foie gras, clams, aged cheese or cured ham for tapas and distinctive starters.
Fill them with meat and finish with béchamel in the oven, cut them into quarters for frying or sauté them with garlic and ham. They also bring flavour and character to vegetable paellas, rice dishes and creative garnishes.
