A selection of rice grown in high-altitude fields, where natural conditions define the result. Known for clean structure, balanced texture and consistent quality, influenced by slow maturation.
In the foothills of the Pyrenees, where water flows down from melting snow and temperatures shift between day and night, a different approach to rice cultivation takes shape.
Brazal works in fields located at around 800 metres above sea level, where altitude and climate slow the natural cycle of the crop. This extended maturation allows the rice to develop gradually, influencing both structure and uniformity.
Water plays a central role. The fields are irrigated with fresh mountain water originating from the Pyrenees, creating a constant and pure environment throughout the growing period.
The contrast between warm days and cool nights contributes to a more controlled development, resulting in grains with stable texture and consistent cooking properties.
Production follows a model where cultivation and processing are closely linked, ensuring control from field to final product.
The result is rice shaped by environment rather than intervention — where altitude, water and time define the final character.
